Yes. Most people simply ride off after a few minutes. Two things are different from an ordinary bike: you sit upright, and you steer more with your body.
You sit upright
The handlebars are high and close to the saddle. So you sit upright, without a bent back or a tense neck, and there is no weight on your wrists. You naturally look ahead and see the traffic well.
You steer more with your body
On a STRIDA you sit a little higher above the wheels than on an ordinary bike. So you take a corner mostly by leaning into it a little, and you turn the handlebars only slightly. The steering is direct: small movements are enough.
Tips for your first ride
- Set the saddle so your leg is almost straight with the pedal at the bottom.
- Start in a quiet street or an empty car park.
- Look where you want to go, not at your front wheel.
- Lean gently into corners and move the handlebars calmly.
